I guess frats and sororities usually throw alcohol-based parties.
Is it the same for the SLGs such as Mirecourt, Maxwell, etc.?
Are there people who don't drink at all in those groups?

I am not sure, floridagurl, I entirely agree with your initial premise re alcohol based parties. Yes, alcohol is consumed at parties at essentially EVERY university, Greek affiliated and not; however, Duke students, who drink little or not at all, are still quite involved in the social scene there.

I know that in my SLG there are certainly people who don’t drink or who are not ready to drink and that’s perfectly fine. There’s no awkwardness or tension and I’m sure this is true for other SLGs as well.

Yes, SLGs throw parties and events that include alcohol but the are generally heavily regulated by their respective RAs. There are SLGs where most members don’t drink and some where only a few drink. You will know which is which if you get to campus.
