Son just got one today!
What is a likely letter?
oh WOW! congrats!!
basically given to TOP applicants to tell them they were admitted earlier than when they release offial decisions
Congrats! What does it look like? Email?
Greetings from Duke University!
The Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and I am delighted to tell you that among our nearly 50,000 applicants, yours was among a small number that truly stood out for us. In recognition of all you’ve accomplished, we wanted to contact you a little earlier to let you know that the Admissions Committee enthusiastically expects to formally offer you admission as a member of the Class of 2025. We hope you’ll take this extra time to consider all that Duke has to offer its students.
I just got it today.
Hi, has some people still not receive the email for decision instructions?
received*
Thank you!
Was it an email?
Yes, they sent out an email with instructions.
What time were emails sent out ?
Apparently, around Monday at 2 o’clock eastern time.
I thought it was 5 est, at least that’s what I see on reddit.
Wow, congrats! I didn’t know they sent likely letters this late. Your son must be getting acceptances to the Ivys too! What were his stats and ECs may I ask?
Thank you very much! I’ve always heard of likely letters but thought they were for top athletes only. So exciting! Don’t know about the Ivies; they are not a guarantee for anyone. He only applied to two of them, never wanted to apply to HYP.
