Duke University Regular Decision Admissions 2023

Is Duke need-blind?

@OliviaM2019 I have 8

I only have two things on my FA checklist - FAFSA and CSS profile. Bad sign?

Scared!!

i have 4

@lemonstress23 I FELL YOU MAN

@OliviaM2019 @stressed2019 was it always that way?

@lemonstress23 Yes, they are.

It wasnā€™t always that way, but I think itā€™s because they requested things through IDOC. If you only have two things I would check and see if they requested things! I have things such as my W-2 form and stuff like that.

There are 7 things on ours. Each one was submitted at different times to IDOC, so that might be why.

iā€™m a deferred ED applicant and didnā€™t get the email either. maybe thatā€™s why. letā€™s not read too much into things @fencingrockets

Checked iDoc and Duke hasnā€™t requested anything. Rice required a lot of stuff through iDoc so I know itā€™s working. Maybe Duke was able to use the same docs that I submitted to Rice but then, I would think they would show up on the checklist. Oh well ā€¦

At first I had only FAFSA and CSS but if you look back earlier in this thread, I think around February, people started noticing that their financial aid documents list got longer. Thatā€™s what happened to me too. The date listed in my portal next to those other documents (tax returns, etc.) is February 21.

Not a good sign if they never asked me for additional documents. :>(

@T20hopeful2023 did you check the box for financial aid on your application to Duke?

@momcatof4 Had to go back into the Common App to check, but yes, FA is says Yes.

Cool @T20hopeful2023 . Like I said, I had to submit our forms at different times to CSS. Perhaps, your CSS was complete by the time Duke looked at it?

Hope thatā€™s the case. I submitted both the FAFSA and CSS on Oct 1st.

I recently got invited to a fly-in program. Is that like a likely letter?

@applepie5 could be, thats what happened to me for Cornell and it was a likely. What is the fly-in about specifically?
