Duke vs UNC for Premed?

I'm going to go to either of these schools I hope. If i get into both, what should I do? and UNC is way cheaper because I'm in state, but Duke supposedly gives out a lot of money.
Thanks

Bump, I need to know thanks

UNC-CH because it has one of the lowest tuition in the country. It is #1 on Kiplinger’s best value college. Save your money for medical school.

Duke only gives money to low income students.

Yeah but I hear that Duke is much better for Med stuff. Just a lot more personal and interactive

Duke isn’t worth paying 50k a year for over UNC at (~23k?).

Yeah, thats kinda what I was thinking too.

Wait to see which you get into. If you get into both, then decide.

Another vote for UNC here.

Med school will cost you an arm and a leg. So, keep undergrad as cheap as possible. Most important thing for med school is GPA and MCAT scores. Go UNC - great reputation and will prepare you well. If Duke is free go for it, but you can not go wrong with UNC.

I’ve known many medical students who went to UNC for undergrad, as well as a few medical students who did their undergrad at Duke. They were all well-prepared for medical school – at least as well-prepared as one can be; it is a bear for anyone. For that matter, I’ve known quite a few medical students who went to other NC colleges and universities. They all seem to have been on fairly equal footing when they started medical school.

I hear that Duke is much better for Med stuff

??? What the heck? Undergrad isn’t teaching you about “med stuff”.

Take your cheapest option, which is UNC in this case. As much as it pains a life-long Duke fan to say, UNC is a great school
