hey, so does anyone know anything about the duquesne medical scholars program with temple u? the deadline was dec. 1, but idk how many they accept or what............anyone apply/know anything?

ps anyone apply ed to brown plme and get accepted? one kid at our school did, we're all soo happy for him.

pps everyones getting in to ivies and its exciting! but they find out now, and we wait til april .... :-/

yea, duquesne and temple have a guaranteed program. I didn't apply b/c I don't wanna go to duquesne for UG. going to temple for UG is fine for me, but not duquesne. I wouldn't see why people wouldn't apply for this though.

i just finished my rd application.. i'm surprised other people at your school actually apply to combined programs... i'm the only one that is applying for a combined med program.

no one in my school has been accepted to an ivy. last year, 3 people went to ivies. 1 for engineering (cornell), 1 for theatre/arts (cornell) and 1 for football (dartmouth)

really? well our school/class is insane. so far:
3 people in yale
1 in harvard
3 in penn (1 wharton)
1 in brown (plme)
1 in princeton
1 in cornell

idk about a couple of them for princeton/cornell, we had 1 defferal from penn/dartmouth, 1 rejection from brown/penn...

at the local high school (fox chapel) that i know of:::

2 harvard
3 rejected from stanford
1 deff MIT
a few in penn/cornell

and yeah, around 4 of us were applying for the combined programs at SSA (my hs). 1 already got in PLME, and one was deffered from penn but i think he will get in reg. the other girl is applying to hpme and plme and i think she has a good shot at both.

well... you go to shadyside academy.

honestly, lots of intelligent people go to SSA.

as for fox chapel, they're one of the best public schools in pennsylvania... so i'm nore surprised.

pine-richland really isn't on the same level.

sure we have smart kids, but last years class got ONE kid into yale and two into brown and that was it for the ivies. just thought it was interesting; i guess other schools didnt have this experience.

aighttttt work time.
