I switched from science to undecided because I thought it was easier to get into and im not positive about what I want to study anymore. Is is easier to get into DUS?
stats
ACT: 27
GPA: UW 3.35
In state
I go to a really good private school. I took 2 honors classes

I’m not going to say it’s “easier” to get in, but I had a friend who was first denied from Penn State, but ended up being accepted when he switched to DUS.
I don’t know if this is for everyone, but it certainly doesnt hurt to try

Based on last years posts I think many people got accepted when they went in DUS and/or summer if they had lower stats. Some majors require higher GPAs, so for example if you wanted Nursing or Engineering you might not be accepted, but if you changed to DUS or summer admit you would be accepted. if you get denied you can always call admissions and ask them to reconsider if you change your major. There were a few people that posted that they were denied UP and did that and got accepted. Also, I think that if you are willing to go to the summer session they feel that even though your stats might be low you will be more dedicated.

I think the summer session is only a couple of classes and they concentrate on getting you ready for the rigor of college classes. I’m sure if you post a question on here someone can give you better information about the summer program if you are interested.

Good Luck!
