E-Learning Program?

Does anyone have any information or experience about the quality of SCAD's E-Learning program?? I am considering the E-Learning program for my MFA in Graphic Design in the fall. Do you feel students who complete the E-Learning program have as many opportunites for job placement as on campus students?

Well…I can reply, but maybe not in time to assist you. Job placement always boils down to the quality of your portfolio. Will SCAD’s eLearning courses assist you? Yes, absolutely. However, an online student has to have greater self-discipline, and utilize the course resources to their full potential. Also, the quality of a course will largely depend upon the “presence” of the professor. Some are better than others at using the discussion areas, announcements, etc to communicate with the students.

The online content for SCAD’s eLearning program in G.D. is better than you will find anywhere. It was meticulously developed and reviewed, and in some cased redeveloped. I don’t know about other majors, except that course development goes through the same process.
