@SMCguy aren’t you majoring in Communications too? I could be wrong though…

If you haven’t gotten this, you absolutely are fine. It is only because we were missing documents.

Don’t panic

Holy crap where’s emilsinclair! we need to have him try this! He’s registered for summer classes too!

@yunie awww i wish my cousin worked at admissions too or something and get some inside information lol

but yeah, i got rejected from UCLA. soooo all the smallest “clues” make me nervous if i dont get it. you dont know how it feels like to be rejected :(

the thing is they asked mikie to hand the documents in person. I feel better though, its news and its not bad news ill take that anyday

@yunie
what did you ask in the text to your cousin?

Emil’s going to be freaking pumped! He does have his iPhone…>__<;; I hope he checks!

I don’t think my cousin is going to sign on here anytime soon…lol…

@yunie I know! I 'msure he’ll get in! I hope he does! I hope I do too lol what am I saying :D

Panicpanicpanic

^
CALM YOURSELF NOW! (:

@solidblu
I hope we all get in…xDDDDD!!! Emil is getting in, I just know it!

So I go the email, can’t log in because I don’t have a CalNet ID, and therefore can’t find out what they need from me.

I just called UCB finAid office, and the closed 9 minutes ago… SOL or what?

@nikki
i think we just need to wait for the decisions to be released.

if we’re accepted, we’ll be able to get a calnet id and log in to see what we need to submit. if we’re not accepted, it doesn’t matter…lol

2009 Transfer Admissions Data from the UCB website:

number of applicants (Resident, nonresident, international)
11,230
446
1,590

Admitted 3,416 — 90 — 342

so the thing is would the UCB financial office actually go through 12000 applications and check through them all?

I personally would like to believe they would only bother with the 3500 admitted students which is still a handful

yeah i guess, it just seems weird that they would ask us to give them information knowing that we have no way to do so…

i guess that’s why they sent the email only 1 hr. before their office closed, lol, to avoid the phone calls

They’re effing with us. haha.

@mokimadness
your reasoning is very logical, and i hope it’s true…with that said, i’m not getting my hopes up based on this email. i’ll just wait until the decisions are posted on friday.

EDIT: if this email is sent out to every applicant that needs additional documents, it’s a waste of labor…and at a time when UC costs are rising, they shouldn’t be wasting resources like that.

Yeah guys, don’t be worried. I calmed down, we’re GOOD! ^__^;;

false alarm!

I got a similar letter from UCI few weeks ago, couple days later I got my acceptance so I hope thats the case again :)

Seriously…where’s Emil, CalBearGuy and Evan when they need to freak out with us?! xD.
