E-Mail From UC Berkeley Financial Aid

Yunie-i accidentally already freaked Evan out…hahahaha
sorry Ev-ie baby for the false alarm ;)

yeah, for the people who didn’t get that e-mail I’m sure it means that Berkeley simply did not have any missing docs to notify them of. :)

I feel we should be accepted for our enthusiasm if not for our academic accomplishments :D!

Also a bit off topic, but what are you guys doing in terms of roommates ?
(if youre going to live in dorms that is)

^
Living in a neaby apartment with my cousin who already attends Cal!

@unnie:
KEKEKEKEKEKEKE!!! xDDDDD. Gooodddd. Hahahha, just playing Evan! <3

If i get in berk, I WANNA FIND A COOL ROOMMATE? WHOS COOL? :D

moki: dorming!!!

I will room mate with anyone IF I get in Berk :stuck_out_tongue: No email for me :(

anyone 420 friendly? haha jp

I got the same email!! I am hoping it’s a very good sign, because honestly, why would they go through all the applicants and check their FA. Plus, you can’t even log into that myfinaid thing without a CalNet ID.

(NOTE: If you are a new undergraduate, please create your CalNet ID via your Next Steps box in myBerkeleyApplication)

“Next Steps” sounds pretty good to me.

It’s hard not to get your hopes up though

Ive had random roommates before, three to be precise. Two were nightmares, one was pretty awesome. Im trying to avoid nightmares again

ie: one of them delt drugs and got caught, extremely shady, pretty sure he stole from me and my other roommate, moved out as soon as i could.

I really dont want that experience again

I hope they’re just not asking me for more information because they already have all the FA info they need >_<

^
Probably need vertification forms.

@Mokimadness
Well I’m sure you’ll get a better experience this time around!

I have to go eat lunch…even though I’m not hungry! I’ll be in class the next time I post, yeee…T_T;;

have a good lunch, Yuni you need to stay fueled for those exams!!! :heart::heart::heart:

i think that these emails were sent to people who are likely to be given admission offers this friday that had some sort of incomplete FA record. so out of the ~3500 that will be admitted, a handful with FA problems have been contacted. that’s my guess…

in other words, if you haven’t received the email (like me) there is no reason to worry. what happens on friday happens.

^agree. I was actually at my transfer center when I got the letter. I asked the counselor there if it was a good sign. He said “Most likely”. Still waiting for Friday though…

i wish that they would have waited at least until friday to send this email out…i think they do this to drive us crazy…hahaha

obviously whoever got the email GOT IN! why else would they take the time to bother with the FAFSA? its the same thing SD did, and I got in and I got that damn email lol Lots of others also.
I didn’t get one : (
but could this be a sign!? someone said they were done with admissions on Mar 30th, I got a call from UCB about my highschool, if it was vertified or not, on April 8th. DOES THAT MEAN I’M IN! ? don’t think so, i think the email is a a better indicator…:frowning: I didn’t get the email.
I have an exam tomorrow, ughhk I just want to sit and do nothign while I wait for Friday lol. I don’t think I got in though…my stats are not good enough in the first placeeeee but i just want to knowww.

@pigsyy
while the email MIGHT be an indicator that the recipients have been accepted, the email means that those who received it are missing a document that is needed to complete their financial aid record.

if you didn’t get one, it doesn’t mean you didn’t get in. it just means that they don’t need any additional documents from you.

keep hope alive!!! 2 more days!!!

i didnt get an email… this sucks

It is REALLY HARD to not be disappointed by not receiving this email :(

Even though I know it’s probably because they don’t need additional info from me. Still a bummer.
