*Thank you for applying to The George Washington University. Over the last few months, our Admissions Committee has reviewed the applications of more than 19,000 students from around the world. Later this week, we will begin mailing our decision letters. So that you may receive your admissions decision as soon as possible, we plan to email applicants their decisions after 5:00 pm (EST) on Friday, March 31.

psh whether they reject me or not, they r still getting a letter from me with my middle finger stenciled in on it telling them they are too damn expensive

then why apply? stealing terrible students like myselfs spot is no good. i bet i get a waitlist cuz of soo many applicants who wont end up going.

Just got the same email, thing is a few of my friends who applied didn't get it, wierd, coincidence or does it mean something? Wishful thinking, I know I didn't get in...........my stats are not high enuf, the only good thing was that my grandfather graduated from there and wrote a great letter but I am no dummy and know thats not nearly enuf to get me in.........good luck, guys!

Yeah it's definitely not an alphabetical thing because my brother got the same e-mail around 6 p.m. today, but I didn't get one. I think it means most of you guys are going to get in. I may be wrong, but the only reason I suggest this is because I think the same thing happened with ED I people last year and this year. Most them received e-mails thanking them for applying and notifying them that their decisions will be e-mailed. If you check some of the older posts you'll see this and that one by one most of them posted the acceptance e-mail. Then again someone in one of the threads said that their dad is the dean of the medical school was notified of his kid's acceptance and said that the official acceptance packages will be sent on the 30th. So who knows? Anything is possible w/admissions! Good Luck!

DUDE, when I saw that email I totally FREAKED THE HELL OUT...I thought it was an accept/reject like a lot of the people here, and I was like AAHHHH!! XD

Ok I thought 19,000 sounded like a TON at first too, but then I just checked my 2005 princeton review book and it said that that year there were ~18,400. So that's not really that much of a jump. Whew, I feel better. Good luck everyone, not too much longer!
