E-Media acceptances

I’ve read around here a little bit, and haven’t seen anything addressing a major in E-Media, which is an audition-less application.

I have pretty average high school credentials. About right in the middle of my high school class, and a 23 ACT composite. While these stats seem about the norm for acceptance into U of Cincinnati, it seems that CCM is much more selective. This concerns me, especially when I don’t even have the chance to audition to win over the powers that be.

How are E-Media applicants considered? My heart is set on CCM, and it’s really the only program that is financially realistic for me. Are admissions less strict for this major? Should I constantly refresh my status page only to find out I’ve been rejected?

Be real with me, please.

PS-I realize this is a MT subforum, but I read some posts by faculty of UC, so they might know. I also have no idea where else to post. Sorry.

criminalpiece: A friend of mine's son is a freshman in e-media at CCM. I think she said they took 35 out of 100 or so applicants. I dont' know how good of a high school student this young man was, but he had taken some e-media classes in high school. Sorry, that is all I know.
