There are 3 Proffs, but i don't know which one to choose.

It's Seed, Leachman, and Johnson.

Johnson's class is full, while the other 2 classes are not even half filled.
I just don't know which prof is better, so i need some advices on this.

Any suggestions from ppl who took E10 already?

Hahahaha, hds, I sense a great amount of frustration from you. I am taking E 10 and Math 1B next semester too. I asked a lot of people regarding E10 and the word is that its usually all the same, it really depends on which module you take. Why does Leachman have a lower grading distribution? It’s because the IEOR module is one of the hardest ones. Students are graded based on their final grades from the two modules of their choices.

I might as well address your questions regarding Math 1B. I went to the math department advisors and asked them about the upcoming Spring math 1B professors. The truth is that they are almost all the same. Last Spring was a completely mess because Borcherd taught one session of Math 1B with a class average GPA of 3.5 while Ratner taught two sessions with the avg. GPA close to 2.28.

For next semester it doesn’t really matter which professor you pick. Persson is new so there isn’t much information regarding his grade distribution while the other two have records of teaching some forms of Calculus with GPA of about 2.8…

Don’t worry too much about grading distributions. Everybody will be screwed at the same time now :).

No idea who Seed is, but Leachman is horrible at lecturing. He teaches IEOR, so beware of that as well. Johnson teaches ME, and he’s pretty capable at it.

It makes no difference which professor you initially choose. After yous select your modules, you are assigned to the professor teaching that module. Just pick the modules you have interest in.

The IEOR module consists largely of doing an assignment that’s difficult but far from impossible (provided you’re willing to actually try), turning in lab assignments (two very easy, one somewhat trickier but not impossible, and, iirc, curved along the same lines as the hard assignment above), giving a final presentation that’s almost guaranteed to get an A if you can format stuff in powerpoint, and then taking an almost unbelievably easy final exam section. It is not a difficult class.
