Ok so, When i took EE3 spring quarter, Abidi was a guest lecturer, basically lectured to us about semi-conductors. I was soo confused. And so were my friends. I've read the reviews and the news about how he basically failed most of his class 1-2 years ago. EE10 is being taught by Razavi, who sounds alright according to bruinwalk. (Your opinion?). Problem is, I can't take EE10 because I need to have a Math 33B co req...Is there a way to get around it? Or is that not recommended? I was going to take Math 33A in the fall. But, I don't want to risk being forced to take Abidi.. he just scares me. Not sure if I should buck it up and face it if my luck is really that bad, or try to somehow get around the system if thats possible.

What do you guys recommend? Or think about either professors? My GPA is already pretty low, (almost 3.0) and I'm try to get it up, so I don't think my GPA can take much of a punch right now. Thanks!

This chart is accurate: http://i.imgur.com/iUQsY.png

Math 33B is seriously one of the easiest classes you can take. You can learn pretty much everything yourself, and I doubt that EE 10 would ask you to do anything ridiculous with differential equations. Just sign up for 33B, sign up for EE 10, then drop 33B.

If you’re really concerned, you could even take 33B before or with 33A because it really doesn’t matter.

Is your chart for Razavi or Abidi lol? That looks scary o_o thanks ;]

Don’t take Abidi unless you’re forced to take it with him. Avoid him like the plague. He will kill your GPA.

So I just realized that for fall, EE 10’s final and EE1’s final is back to back. That is definitely not a good idea. So should I stick to my original plan of taking EE1, Math 33a, EE m16, and maybe CS33 and risk getting Abidi. Or still try to get EE 10?

Bump? &. If Abidi does happen to teach EE 10 winter quarter, should i just not take him and try again fall afterwards or summer??

I think the main point is to avoid him at all costs unless you must take him (e.g. avoid prolonging time until graduation). However you accomplish that, we cannot know.
