I'm probably going to retake my SAT and ACT but i can't guarantee the scores will go up..
Right now my SAT practices are around... 2140? and my ACT is 32~33

The people who chance I thank you sooo much, and if you want me to chance you back just write it on your post with your idea :) Thanks guys!

Raise your SAT and also take ACT if you can. Your SAT II’s are fine but your SAT I is low.

Everything else looks good, but there’s nothing to me that seems particularly unique or extraordinary. Considering that the international applicant pool is super competitive, I think that means that you’ll get deferred or rejected.

However, I’m always rather pessimistic with chances threads. Also, I DEFINITELY think you should apply SCEA and are strong enough to be competitive… I just personally don’t think you will get in.

do you think the fact that I’m writing a program to help teachers as something unique? I’m writing about it for my essay and I did take the ACT with a score of 31

and I’m not asking for any financial aid btw yeah… haha thanks guys!

Ok, you definitely want to raise your SAT/ACT a bit, and I agree with booyaksha in that you really don’t have anything which truly sets you apart from every other applicant. I’ve seen estimates that only 4% of unhooked applicants get accepted, so my guess is that’s your chance unless you write some killer essays and have awesome recs. As far as the computer program, it would probably help if it’s running and assisting teachers by the time you apply, but otherwise I’m not sure how much of a difference it will make. Sorry to be very critical, but it’s just my honest guess. Good luck though.

If you’re an international, then I think (I think) that you are assessed in comparison to other applicants from your geographical area, and all of these applications are managed by the same regional AO. This will probably hurt your chances, considering there are many strong Asian applicants out there. I’d say you should apply RD and try to get those scores up. Try to pick the right teachers for your recs, and nail those essays.

I think the best thing to do at the moment is to pull up the SAT scores. Minimum 700 for Critical Reading, and Writing (eurgh, that part is killing me)…
I agree with sirensong, if you can get that program up and running and write a killer essay on it, your application will be stronger… Especially considering you’re applying with Korean nationality background, it’ll be harder because EVERYone has amazing results, so you need a real ‘hook’ on top of academics…
I’m Korean too, but I have Australian Citizenship, which apparently makes it a lot easier…
If you don’t mind, I’d love another opinion on my chances:
