EA acceptance rate already up??

Early Application Numbers Rise at D.C. Area Colleges | The Hoya

I came across this article today. It said that the early admission rate is 18%, same as last year... So they're already on the mailing stage?

can't wait!

Apparently it all goes out friday, or so ive heard.

Wow. Well if the number of EA apps total was up 10% (I’ve lost the article) and the admissions rate was the same, that means they accepted more kids… YAY.

No the apps to college increased by 10% but business school decreased by 10%

I thought there were so many college apps that the overall increase was 10%, even with the decrease in MSB.

does that mean the number of kids accepted to the MSB was higher or lower than past years considering the decrease in applicants?

The Admissions did tell me that their Early Action Admittance rate is always the same as the Admittance rate (total) of last year.

So if overall, 18% got admitted last year (including the EA), then the EA for this year will be 18% so in a way it’s quite rigid.

18% is pretty spot on. And yes decisions will be mailed this Friday.

i can’t wait this long!!! aghghghghhhh

This seems to be a trend. I know ND got many more early apps.
I wonder if people are trying to find out as soon as possible so they have more time to make a decision. With the financial crisis, I’m sure that many need to really look to see if they can afford to these schools that cost an arm and a leg. I know thats why I want to find out early! THough I be happy to get in anyway how.
