It seems as if BC really wants us accpeted EA students to attend, I just recieved an email about a forum that will be set up on the BC website for accepted students, this notifcation came in a congradulations email. A few weeks ago a BC admissions rep called my house and asked if I had any questions about BC, before that, admitted students in my area were invited to the home of a senior where we met current students. I also got an email summarizing @BC to admitted students. Since I play the Viola I recieved an letter about Bands at BC and If i was interested in joining one, etc.

Is anyone else enjoying this wave of attention?

today, around 1 Go to Agora, sign in with your account, and click on this button that wasnt there before... The forum wont be up until tomorrow though

yeah, xsuubiex, i had EXACTLY the same experience...email, phone call, senior's reception, band letter... i also got admitted to the CSOM honors program and got a letter and book in the mail from the dean or asst. dean (who wrote the book). it was pretty sweet.

Yea, I've pretty much got something in the mail or in my e-mail about once every two weeks since December. Along with invitations to local get-togethers for accepted students in my area (I'm from lower Westchester, NY. BC draws a lot of kids from my area), there are brochures and pamphlets and e-mails from local reps and seniors and ridiculously more stuff...

It's kinda gonna make me feel bad if I get into Notre Dame, because I'm going to have to turn them down.

Yeah, they have seriously pushed for EA kids. I've also gotten the phone calls and emails from students and others, as well as the brochures in the mail.

wow, i don't know if i should be glad or sad to hear that. i haven't gotten any phone calls, invites, etc. i did get the email about the forum, and a couple of other emails, but that's about it. i dunno, i was kind of feeling let down about how not-caring they seemed about whether we actually attended or not, and i had also gotten that impression at eagle day, and i was sad because BC had been my first choice. maybe they just don't really want me??

Even before eagle day I have had a good impression of BC. There was a reception thing a BC students house (editor of the heights) for accepted EA people in my area. It made it seem like BC is a friendly, down to earth, happy kind of place. Just watch the BC (www.The-BC.com).

Megadance, if they didn't really want you, you would not have gotten in. This was Boston College's most competitive year for admissions. I think some of the other events and mailings to EA accepted greatly by geography. I wouldn't take it too personally.

Kevdude, d is still waiting to hear from a few more schools but has already chosen BC over Notre Dame. Be sure to visit both places. They are vastly different environments in terms of diversity, focus and political leanings.

Onpar, trust me, I've visited both, and weighed my options. People assume that just because I want to go to ND means that I hate BC, and that's just not true. I am very much in love with BC, it just so happens that I love ND a little more.
