EA Applicant Decision

Best of luck! I'm an international student like you (I'm from Vietnam). I'm applying RD to Dickinson. It's my match. However, since my need is very very high, I'm very worried. I hope that we both get in!

Same here!! Dickinson is my first choice and my need is also very very high. I wanted to apply ED, but I first decided to apply RD. I had thought that applying ED would reduce my chances of getting financial aid. However, the people from admissions were very very helpful. They assured me that more aid is given for intls during ED than regular pool. So, I had no more worries and I have applied ED. I am really worried though. People here seem to have stellar stats :(
I hope we get in. I know another person from Vietnam. CC profile name is batdoi. This person has also applied to Dickinson RD.

Yeah you are right. For Dickinson Ed1>Ed2>Ea>Rd. Yeah I also know batdoi!
Again, best of luck to all of us.

EA<RD for internationals!! Very less money is given for intls in EA!! Have you applied Ed anywhere?

EA Admission for DD- very relieved!

Congrats!!

My dd also accepted EA, but no merit scholarship, which was a little surprising since she's been offered nice scholarships at 3 other EA schools - Beloit, Wooster and DePauw. Any thoughts/info about #'s of students getting merit aid at Dickinson? Criteria?

My D did not get merit aid at Dickinson, and she, too, received merit aid from other schools. I think Dickinson uses merit aid very strategically, to try to attract kids who might otherwise choose a more selective school. One of D's friends turned down Colgate for Dickinson because of merit aid.
