I know Rhodes does work with people and occasionally offers more money to students they want badly. I tried to leverage my full tuition scholarship from Sewanee against Rhodes’ 20K and unfortunately because I did so later in the spring, around May 20th, the scholarship fund had already dried up. So my advice is to ask for more as soon as you have something to leverage with. Don’t wait, the scholarship budget is finite and with amount of aid Rhodes gives out the wiggle room is tight.

When I applied, I got my financial aid letter about two weeks after I got my acceptance letter, so you all should get yours in that time frame too.

Congrats on being accepted! Hope to see you in the fall.

no letter yet re scholarship money but it is posted under financial aid… scholarship, grant and loan. under award history. nice but probably not enough as son has full ride a great school and full tuition at many others.

My son got into Rhodes last week, which was great. Tonight I looked under financial awards on Banner web and yes indeed there is award money. How nice is that.

WOW! Glad you checked daecollege! Daughter got in last week and Presidential Scholarship posted today - That puts this school in the running for sure!

I am probably the most unconventional Rhodes applicant; I only applied because a teacher literally forced me to. But after visiting the campus, I knew that Rhodes was something special. I decided to give Rhodes a chance and apply as an EA applicant with the less than modest ACT score of 25. When I found out that I had been accepted, I was ecstatic! But I just knew that my mom, who is unemployed and receives government benefits, could not afford the $40,000+ price tag. But there was a letter in the mail today and it turns out that Rhodes offered a financial aid package valued at $46,000. I cannot even contextualize the joy that I feel right now!

Thanks Rhodes, and congrats to the accepted EAs!

Yes, it looks like whatever is online now is all they are offering. I suppose you can call and try to negotiate something better. D got about in the ballpark of what I expected. Rhodes is still not her favorite but I am trying to convince her to go visit.

Could someone please post the banner link here. The link I found required both the student ID number and Pin number. Only received on Jan 16 the student ID number in the Acceptance letter but have not received the pin yet. Do you need both student ID and Pin to login? When did everyone receive the Pin number?
