worth a try, i mean sfs is one of, if not the hardest foreign service school to get into, and the best- just try man

If I had to take a guess, no. The issue I see is a lack of a foreign policy interest. Besides Model United Nations, there is very little that appears to be political or international. Maybe you can write essays that show you are interested, but nothing above would scream acceptance.

KEEP IN MIND: You have the credentials to get in, I just don't think you fit the ideal accepted student. One tip you might look into: SFS has a Science and Technology Major. Since you have done a lot of math and science, showing your interest for this major (which is strong, if under-popular), may help you get in.

That is an impressive set of SAT Subject Test scores....I am assuming you are Chinese; therefore the Chinese SAT II isnt worth anything.

I have no idea though. Your SAT scores seem okay...all 700s+ would be better. But your ECs (as someone mentioned) don't SCREAM "Foreign Service". Library volunteering? That's much different than if you had an internship with your Senator's office. Get it?

you stand as good a chance as anyone else, i had ec's that weren't exactly international or political except for one and i got waitlisted. its a very hard school to get into, but your chance is just as good as anyone's so apply.

bump~~~~~~~~~~
