Hi everyone! I’m from Wisconsin and I got accepted to NU on ED1. Here are some of my stats and such; hope it helps!
ACT: 31C 34E 32R 31S 26M
3 AP’s, multiple honors, lots of extracurriculars.
I wasn’t overly involved in my school but I was a 4-year varsity athlete and was a part of NHS and French Honor Society.
Extracurriculars included softball, music, volunteer work, etc.
Us ED1 admits have been chatting and it seems as though so far, NU is pretty stingy on financial aid, possibly because we did apply ED so we committed to going regardless of financial aid.
@bremcclarey Can you share more on what the FA packages have been like for ED? Maybe the ranges of FA you’ve been hearing about and basic stats? Just curious…
@rb09 - my S got the same in his email sent by NU when it sent him his application number and sign on info back in early October - cit and paste it said " You have applied Early Action, and you will receive your admission decision by January 15."
Yes, @jtowen it is MLK day, has been on the calendar for ages - one would think that NU being an institute of higher learning would catch that date and change it!
Purdue observes MLK day, offices are closed yet decisions will go out that day. No biggie these days in the age of being able to program computers to do their thing ahead of time…
Since it was changed for later applicants, would it be if you applied earlier you get notification earlier? Also, if they meant to say February 1 an email should have been sent regarding the error just to clear the conflict between the email, portal, and website.
On my email it said 1/15, and when I saw the 2/1 date on the portal I emailed my rep. She confirmed that it would be by 2/1. So it was a mistake or they changed their minds, which email you got doesn’t mean anything.
i would trust what it says on the application portal, rather than the email. although northeastern is known for submitting their decisions earlier than the date given so !! who knows
Hi everyone! I got into northeastern ED this year. We were told we would hear back december 15 and we heard back december 8 (almost a week early). It might be released for you guys today, but try not to hold your breath too much. I also heard that in years past and including my own decision, its always been on a Thursday.
Heyo, I applied EA but didn’t know anything about the CSS profile, so I never submitted it… I know the priority deadline was December 1, but would I still be able to submit it now? Like would that just mean I don’t get my financial aid package with my decision?
