Thanks, @alisonmz99. I think my son’s application is incomplete (argh!!!). because his transcript wasn’t sent separately. I don’t know whether his application will be rejected automatically for that reason or what. Calling tomorrow.
question for Y’all - when you go on to your admissions portal, does it list mid-year grades as a missing requirement with your SAT scores and transcripts and the like? I wasn’t sure if that maybe meant they already deferred my application or what the situation is. Thanks!
I just checked my portal and I don’t see any box for mid year grades at all…where are you seeing this? According to my counselor, early action schools don’t receive senior year grades unless you’re admitted, but I’m not sure if that’s true.
@Frodjekhalverson did you apply EA?
@Frodjekhalverson My daughter applied EA and she does not have anything noting missing mid-year grades.
@18trahis My school sent them-It is not listed under the section titled Application Requirements in the portal. It is listed under the received documents section: “Midyear Report/Grades”.
Northeastern admissions web page states: Early Action and Early Decision candidates should send their first-term grades as soon as they are available.

@Frodjekhalverson Are you a high stat applicant? I don’t see that tab, but it could possibly mean you were accepted. I’d be interested to hear your stats.
@Frodjekhalverson I have the same thing. My semester technically ends next week, so my school has yet to send my grades. I don’t think there is any other meaning to it.
@Frodjekhalverson @lanean18 I don’t see a space for midyear grades on my portal, and my school hasn’t sent my grades yet either. I think you two might’ve been either deferred or accepted.
Hopefully my application hasn’t been reviewed yet lol
@radiantblur @Frodjekhalverson it doesn’t show up on my phone but I’m pretty sure it was there when I checked on my laptop a few days ago… So honestly, who knows! Best of luck to you both and everyone else! Hoping for the positive!
@radiantblur @Frodjekhalverson oops! it turns out I got things mixed up with my applicant status page for another school! So it turns out that no, I do not have a space for midyear grades for Northeastern. Sorry for the confusion!
@mjmthesecond yes I am an EA applicant
@18trahis It is in the necessary documents section.
@20182022 if you go to my account, you can see the whole resume, but I would not consider myself a high stats applicant. I have high SAT’s and good EC’s/recs/essays, but my gpa is subpar.
@lanean18 Keep me posted on what ends up happening for you - hopefully its good news!
@Frodjekhalverson are you using this link to check? - https://www.northeastern.edu/admissions/application-information/application-status-check/
There is no ‘My Account’ section, its all updates on one page with very limited links and no tabs either.
I know this was for the University of Michigan, but this may apply here. If you had a box for mid-year grades then you got deferred. However, some other people who got deferred did not have a box for mid-year grades (like me). I know that was a different school, but it may apply here, but honestly you never know.
My son’s NU portal does not show a space for mid-year grades, although his high school has not sent them because they are not finalized yet.
@Frodjekhalverson did your school finalize S1 grades yet?
There is no tab for mid year grades.
@BCBoundMaybe yes I live in Florida so fsu/uf were my best In state and most affordbale schools to go to and for bc and ne I really loved the very different and unique vibes of each school and of course the academics and sommunitu life. And I do love boston
so are we thinking that decisions come out next week?
Is the “withdraw application” button next to “Can’t attend Northeastern University” toward the buttom of the portal still an option for everyone else? It is still an option for me.
