well it is exactly 2 weeks away till they mail them out (Dec 15)..i'm gettin nervous! I'm busy doing applications to other schools that i probably wont even send if i get into ND... I have a feeling i may get deferred but i hope they are just nice and let me in!

Yup, I am starting to get nervous about it. I just finished finals today and can now start worrying about ND. We'll see how it turns out. Good luck to all!

my regional rep (upper midwest) told me that EA was being sent out the week of the 13th. So I'm hoping that means that they will send on monday the 13, but it could be as late as the 18, that'd be a bummer. I can't wait! Yahoo this will be fun, and Docmom while I respect your opinions I think it's perfectly fine for all of us EA kids to be getting anxious. I'm super excited to finally hear back. You could say that I'm uber excited. Good luck to all.
10-15 days left

According to websters(only because the OED is not handy right now) anxious is "eagerly desirous"; "anxious to see the new show at the museum"; "dying to hear who won"; ardently or earnestly wishing; and yes also the definition that you are taking "Uneasy and apprehensive about an uncertain event or matter"
So yes I am definatly eager to hear back from ND; I am not uneasy, or worried in the least bit; I AM ANXIOUS! :) 9-14 days

lol, I'm pretty glad that I didn't apply RD. I really don't want to have to wait until spring to get a decision. Docmom, you said you had a son or daughter that went to ND? do you know how the computing resources were there? did your son/daughter have a desktop or laptop? right now i'm leaning towards an apple laptop, but want to know more about ND's computing.

No party for me because I'm no expert...for example, I have no idea which computer is better. My son took a tower and monitor, but I know some of his friends have laptops. What cracks me up about his comp is how he has to drag it home over breaks in people's trunks so he has his very own computer to use instead of relying on ours at home. In this way a laptop would be preferable, but then again, he's a comp sci major and a gamer so his is all beefed up I guess.

Good luck to everyone waiting for the decisions. I remember how my daughter felt last year at this time! It's hard not to be anxious but hang in there!

As for computers, my daughter got a laptop per the recommendations of OIT. We also purchased it from them and got a fantastic deal. When she had a problem with the laptop, the OIT fixed it within days. The campus is wireless now (not in the dorms though but you have the standard ethernet connection in your rooms) and she loves to be able to take her laptop outside when the weather is good. One of her classes is a multimedia class which requires you to bring your computer so a laptop was a definite need.

She also got stranded in the Cleveland airport on the way home for Thanksgiving and had to stay in a hotel overnight until the next flight in the morning. She was able to work on several papers since she had her laptop with her. I would definitely recommend a laptop, judging from her experience.

Again, best of luck to everyone waiting. You will be in my prayers.

i sure hope its before the 16th because i will be going out of town for 2 weeks, if not is there any other way to find out, our mail is gonna be stopped

We'll have to see... that "Admitted Students" tab on the Office of Undergraduate Admissions page says that "The admitted students section is temporarily unavailable while we upgrade. Please check back on December 15th." So I'm guessing they're expecting to have kids getting their decisions around that time. I hope they do come on Monday, though. I'd like to find out before I go on Christmas break, just so I can thank my college counselor if I get in.
