haha. yeah, I think MIT sends it via mail. and, I LURVE math. But I'm more into econ and business than pure math.

there still working on the applications! :(

december 13 is when they are mailing it !!!!!!!!!!

breadpitt, when did you hear this? you must have called the admissions office, because I don't see that on any of the blogs :-

Breadpitt, how do you know that they're mailing them out on December 13th? Last time I checked, it was still December 11th.

I just went to see the Cornell CC board and saw them panicking about their ED. They are receiving them tomm!! Just imagine the state that MIT EA applicants or anyone else would be in by the end of next wk!!

omg, i don't even want to think about it. if you think cornell is bad, look at COLUMBIA. they are all running amok.

Are they going to post their decisions online? Like in our Application Tracking page? Or do we have to wait for it by mail. . .

Eh. . .the chances of me being accepted are slim to none, so whatever. . .

We have to wait for it by mail.

Not sure if there's any truth to this, but someone told me that acceptances are actually posted at MIT (as in on location, before they are mailed), so if you know someone there you can have them check for you. It sounds like it may just be some obscure rumor, however, has anyone else heard about this?

If they were to do something along those lines, it would make more sense if they posted the "entering freshman class" in May based on those who choose to attend MIT.

I think the admitted student list is made available later in the season... see this from last year:

"The list of admitted students will be available for review in 10-100 starting Thursday, March 18, Jones said. An MIT ID is required to view the list."

FYI, you might take this with a grain of salt, but may as well start another rumor :D

from a post on Livejournal:
"The letters are being mailed out 'this Friday or Saturday' (so sez an email I got this Monday, the 6th). (I'm an ed. counselor - note that your EC/interviewer will not know any sooner than you do, they're waiting a few days to post decisions on the EC website so that your letters will get there first, so don't bug your EC.)"

Am I the only one who is slowing going crazy over waiting?

I am sort of jealous of all the people who get to find out their admission decisions earlier than us.

I'm going nuts, too. Like, completely out of my mind. I bombed my calculus final last night because I've been so anxious these past couple weeks ... oops! :( :D

For some strange reason, I've been able to simply not think about it. I'm venting by playing a lot of computer games, and keeping busy with school. I've managed to convince myself that I'm going to be deferred/rejected thou :(

Anyone here play any online games too? Warcraft 3, Counterstrike, and (soon) World of Warcraft + a few others. You can distract yourselves with me!

Oh geeze... soon to come

My friends play all that. I used to be big on Halflife/Team Fortress around 2000 but then got bored of the same maps and moved on to programming. Now I play GTA3 when I need to release some ... pressure ... :D

ha... I used to play GTA3, but I found it too repetitive... We should get a CC-MIT online game going sometime...

Yes, programming is completely awesome. Phyiscs and Calculus are just as fun thou.

I never got the hang of online/internet warcraft-type games. I do the trading sims. Not "The Sims", but stuff like Port Royale....

u guys are not alone... im goin crazy too

i want GTA3 San Andreas for pc NOW omg that game is soooooo cool

I know because i emailed the admissions office since i wanted to change the address they mail the decision letter since i will be gone on the 15th
and the admissions officer replied saying they will mail it on the 13 !!!!
