EA decisions have begun.

Was your weekend this last one, Dory? If so, how’d it go?

We’d have loved to have been in FL this past Sunday/Monday to have missed the snow here… but at least we only got a couple of inches. Places further south got more.

Creekland, where you located? In NY here, missed the snow. THIS time.

We’re in southern PA - near the MD border.

Yes, we went to EEC last weekend and they really did things right! They told us it was the largest number of students to participate, ever, so lots of rearranging to fit everyone in. Many opportunities to speak with faculty and staff and to ask questions. We had lovely, perfect weather on Sunday and lots of rain on Monday, so got to see it in all moods - but lovely and warm thruout. Many students turned out for the gathering on Sunday night, and over 40 faculty came out that night for the parents’ reception as well - amazing! My daughter is totally thrilled with her choice and ready to go NOW! Several students paid their deposits before leaving, but most still had other offers to consider. I think it’s going to be a great fit for my girl…! let me know if you have any questions before you go.

Thanks Dory! I’m looking forward to our trip. At this point though, unless they change financial aid, my guy will have to skip a year. Otherwise we’d be paying > 1/3 of our income for just Eckerd - not even counting middle son being in college. The trip is already paid for, so we’re still going to go, but I’ve warned my guy not to fall in love - just to consider it a quick weekend trip to FL for “fun.”

So sorry to hear that, Creekland… But I just know your son will seize the opportunity for growth next year and will be very motivated to do so after his visit. Wishing you both all the best!

FA looks like it should change… my guy is now allowed to resume getting excited. ;)

We’re going to be there this weekend if travel goes as planned… anyone wanting to meet up can send me a pm.

@nystocktrader and @ECmotherx2 - enjoyed meeting you both! It was quite a nice weekend and my guy is looking forward to going there in Aug (still need final financial aid offer for us, but assuming that works out ok…)

Wow, Eckerd puts on one heck of an event. Very impressive.
Had a great time and really enjoyed meeting:
A&G from Ct (thanks for all the input both onstage and off),
P&J from PA. Wishing the best for B and a smooth transition.
R from Venezuela via Orlando. It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish.
K from Tn & Vandy. Glad you had fun at Flamingo. Will know soon if we need you to be stunt-mom for Candle party.

Great people and thanks for taking my concerns and really helped put them to rest.

It was also great to meet all of you! Glad you enjoyed the weekend and had a safe trip home. Two EEC programs down, one more to go.

Creekland - keeping fingers crossed for you!

Are others going to be there this August? My guy put a countdown clock on his FB page. ;)
