Did you all receive Chicago Chronicle Newspapers? I don't know if you get it once you accept their offer or if they just send it if they accept you. I just got mine in the mail today.

I got one, I didn't send them anything yet though. It's pretty cool, I wonder how often it will come.

I got mine the other day. I thought it was nice, but I would have preferred The Maroon because it's run by the students :)

Do you know how good The Maroon is? I've heard mixed things, and I'm a journalism person. I'd be curious to know...

Look online and see for yourself. I'm not sure how good it is journalistically, but from what I've gathered, it's a little querkier.

I got a letter informing me that I'd be receiving the Chronicle but I haven't received an issue yet like you all have. :(

I got the newspaper, but I also would have preferred the Maroon, or at least something more undergraduate-centric. I only skimmed the paper, but I don't think I saw one thing pertaining to undergrads. It was mostly about faculty/research.

you guys get them today? cause i havent gotten it, but then again i live under about 2 feet of snow currently.

I got mine on Saturday. We should request the Maroon cuz the other one was all about how great the faculty is.

Yep, I got one.

I've never seen the chronicle, but from the college newspapers I've seen (the ones put out by the college, not students) are more about what the college is up to, what great things the faculty has done, what programs they've initiated, not anything undergrads are particularly interested in

I come from a high school with a pretty good paper (International Second Place quil and scroll last year) and I was entertained by the maroon when I visited campus. You cant really pick up journalistic integrity from a single reading, but it seemed well written--if a bit quirky
