Nervous. IS IT relieve at 12/15? I got a email about the chance to change into ED from EA, wonder if thats a hint for my low chance for EA…anybody got that letter? what do you think?
I received that option from the track coach and decided to do ED. Your chances go up a ton, but I doubt they were hinting at you.
Last year, my D17 heard on December 15.
ED decisions will be released Dec 15; EA decisions on Dec 20. This link is technically from last year but I believe it still applies to this year’s round of early admissions:
https://www.coloradocollege.edu/admission/application/deadlines/
A few years ago my kid got the same email and was denied EA after saying no to ED (she was admitted to her ED school).
Does anyone know if they send something in the mail as well as updating the portal? If they do, do yall know when it might come in?
Omg noooo ahhhhh…I guess fingers crossed is all I can do now
@EHalol , my daughter got 3 emails after submitting her EA application asking of she wanted to change to ED. She did not. The first one said that she needed to change it by Nov 28. The other 2 said by Dec 1. And they all said “Please note that this message is not an indication of your potential admission to Colorado College.” Don’t worry about it. I think the email is sent to all EA applicants so they can boost their ED numbers.
@pcmom1 Thanks for sharing!! Hopefully thats what happened…I heard from a counselor that I could be the stat’s meeting their requirement but they are looking for a better commitment …
@EHalol , I can tell you that my daughters stats are really really good and she should, technically, have no problem getting accepted. And, my son is a current student at CC and has been nominated and received several awards (both from CC and nationally). I honestly believe the email is just to boost their numbers. Other schools send out these kinds of emails also. Don’t stress over not changing to ED, especially if your family can’t afford full price. Good luck.
Everyone who applies EA is given a shot at ED2. It is simply a way of helping the Admissions Department form the class. Statistics indicate that our generation apply to way more colleges than our parents. That means that there are way more good schools where we end up not going. That makes it hard for Admissions people. This is not a big school. There is no realistic ‘off campus’ options. So there are a certain amount of beds available, and it is much easier to fill them smartly with ED people, who have a contractual commitment to go to their ED school. I would not be surprised at all to see CC eliminate EA and just go ED and RD.
so you think they have decisions on the 20th so that people who are using there ed elsewhere can be taken off their accepted EA list for better yield?
All colleges give out ED decisions first, then EA if offered then RD. It isn’t a conspiracy.
Anyone know when the decision is coming out? The anxiety is killing me
20th, did anybody get a form or two to sign for cc? it could have been just for international students tho, donut worry…its strange tho…I just got this email asking me to complete my app and there’s two forms, notice about tuition and this global scholar prog cost whatever and asking me to sign…
I guess they might have some change in their policy for international students and that’s why…
ANYBODY GOT THE SAME THING AND KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT IT? ?
@Ealol according to the website that is a program for newly admitted students…
@MynameisShila , my daughter just got an email that says:
"As promised, the Admission Committee will notify you of your admission decision very soon. Our Early Action notifications will be available to you online on Tuesday, December 19 at 4 p.m. MST. "
Good luck.
@pcmom1 just got the same email.
Hope everyone gets positive results.
Good luck to all!
officially t minus 2 and a half days good luck
@EHalol Did you get accepted?
I have received the global scholar form also. I am an international student by the way. so, Is this should be a hopeful notification?
