If I have applied to Georgetown with EA program, meanwhile may I apply to another school’s ED program?
Georgetown says no. Always check the early app rules on each of your colleges’ websites.

Thanks evergreen5! I see it says no. Still curious: If I apply EA Georgetown and also ED with other school, how Georgetown knows I EDed with other school?
One, the high school counselor may refuse to sign the ED agreement. Two, in the ED agreement, you agree that the ED college can share your name with other institutions if accepted, in which case you could be rescinded from both.
If I recall, EA at Georgetown does not provide an admission advantage. If the ED school is your first choice (since you are willing to be bound), apply RD to Georgetown instead.
That makes sense to Georgetown EA application. Thanks for patient explanation.
Also curious: if ED with a dream school, could I EA with other schools, such UVA, UNC, or U Michigan?
Usually, yes, but as you have seen with the Georgetown example, there is no substitute for reading the early application rules on each of your colleges’ websites yourself.
I would say if you really want Gtown - applying EA is critical. But applying ED somewhere else which means you are locked in if admitted, shows Gtown that it’s not your first choice. Depends on where you really want to go.
