When did EA applicants hear back last year? mail or online?

I just checked old threads, and last year people began receiving online acceptances (CougarTrail) on Nov. 30.

has anyone received a letter?

Well, notifications for spring semester started going out a couple of days ago and they normally go out the same time as EA decisions. I got my notification for Spring semester admittance on Monday.

was this on cougar trail or by letter?

Cougar Trail. I got a packet today in the mail, relatively quick.

When is the date that it says received and reviewing?
My friends said the 3rd of November and he didn't hear back.. my date is later

Well, like I said, there is going to be a variance since it is a spring semester admittance. Mine said that it was completed and "under review" on the 21rst of November but all of my materials were received on the 31rst of October... The system is not exactly precise.

On Cougertrail it says my app and transcript were received on November 3rd but they weren't "under review" until December 4th. (I was relieved when I checked today and it said that, I was scared for a while that my transcript had been lost in the mail or something..)

It says on collegeboard that they'll send out letters starting the 20th though... I'm still waiting, but I think it should come within the next few weeks

same here!

Interesting blog here: College of Charleston Admissions Sounds like they are wrapping up the final decisions for Early Notification. Letters will go in the mail on Sat, 20 Dec and notification will be up on-line Mon, 22 Dec. CofC had a record number (6,000) early applications this year. Does anyone know how many Early Notification Acceptance letters does CofC intend to send out? Anyone know how many they sent out last year? Good luck to all!

Per the Princeton Review web site, College of Charleston had a total of 8,941 applicants last year. 65% were accepted.

Per CofC's web site, they received over 12,000 applications for the 08-09 class, accepted 2000 freshman and 960 transfers/readmits. (The Princeton Review info can't be right...that would be about 5800 freshman and there are only about 10,000 students on campus). It's more likely a 20-25% acceptance rate. They have received well over 6000 apps for the upcoming year already with a long way to go for final deadlines.

realtime, College of Charleston accepts significantly more than enroll. (Per the Princeton Review, of the 5,775 accepted, 2,062 enrolled.)

But thanks for posting the 12,000 figure, I'm sure that is the more accurate number in terms of applications.

my cougar trail doesn't say i've been accepted but they gave me a legit cofc email address (ie myname@edisto.cofc.edu) the exact format of my sister's email address when she attended.
does that mean i've been admitted? why in the world would they give me an email address otherwise?

haha....sounds like the Lehigh thread; everybody found out they were in because email addresses were created in the database....looks like you are in......

score! haha that is kind of a disappointing way of finding out...

yea, that's what they said........

are you sure about that?!

Also, when you first applied did you get an automatic email?
