EA or ED: December 15

Do you find out whether or not you are in college you apply early on exactly December 15? Or, is it when colleges start sending their decisions in mail? I have a planned trip on Dec. 16, and I will be gone for a few days. I just don't want to keep thinking and worrying about getting in my 1st choice college on the whole trip.

Some schools post the decisions on a website. Students are given a log in/password and you go to the website. Other schools ONLY notify by mail. What school are you wanting to know about? Also......15Dec is a Thurs this year and the particular date is not always "the 15th" some schools use the words...."mid December" not a specific date.

Princeton (10 charc)

What is the Early Decision application option?

Students who determine that Princeton is the college they would most like to attend may submit applications by November 1, to which we will respond with decisions by mid-December. By applying early, students are committing to enrolling at Princeton if offered admission and must withdraw applications they may have submitted to other colleges.

I was probably thinking about early decision in general. I remember seeing "Dec 15"- probably on other colleges' applications, not Pton.

You can do a search for results on CC and you can see the variance in time......also the kids who didn't get the login/password....or take it with them on holiday. The ED results are always a big topic here on CC and you can read it all.....the weeping, nashing of teeth and the joy.

Some schools send it out LATE. I remember my brother got his letter around the 20th last year..
