EA University of Denver Class of 2023

Son was accepted - Provost Scholarship ($22K + $3K room and board).

SAT: 1350

My D was admitted but don’t think there were any $ as nothing else was listed. She was 3.7ish weighted GPA, 1160 on SAT. I guess they are looking more at test scores for merit? Still nice for her to get in!

Got the packet - NO need based aid offered. Being middle class and having to pay for college is a nightmare.

Got the Financial Aid Notification online today. No need-based aid. $17K won’t make a dent in the $65K price tag. So DU is off the table. Onward and upward.

Does anyone know how to apply for the honors program? And does anyone know how to find out if you applied to the business school if you were accepted to go into the program freshman year?

Niece accepted with almost $40K in merit and grants! It’s a terrific offer but we’re still waiting from the other colleges. So far this has been the best financial package. 1200 SAT, 4.0 something weighted GPA, 6 years of athletics/track, 4 years of French and in the Youth Medical Residency (selective pre-med track of her high school) plus a few AP’s. Took SAT in junior year and didn’t want to take it again - her grades and excellent essay helped a lot.

For all those who have been accepted EA, I have a question for you -
Have you received a packet in the mail congratulations letter, marketing materials, scholarship award etc ? We live OOS and son was accepted EA and nothing in the mail. Possibly, it is because we live OOS.

Compared to other schools my son has been accepted, it seems DU is behind the eight ball in communication and marketing materials.

Thanks for your feedback.

We have not received it and we are in WA state.
