Eagle Scout/Gold Award

How important is this? Do adcoms look into each individual recipient to make sure they fullfilled the requirments? Do they look into your actual project?

INFO - the Gold Award is the equivilent of a Eagle Award, both are the highest rank/award a scout can recieve...however, a GA is 50 hours of service on each girl's own (meaning if others help her, she can't count their hours) whereas a ES can have outside people work on stuff and count their help towards the fullfillment of the ES

Eagle Scout is a huge deal anywhere, and that includes in the admissions process. They won't look to see if you fulfilled the requirements...the application process does mostly run on the honor system, after all. Noting what you did for your project in some part of your application would probably be a good idea, though, just to make sure that they really know what it means to be an Eagle or a Gold Award holder.
