EAP Student - HELP!

<p>Hi everyone, i am an EAP student from Auckland, New Zealand. I am at UCLA for a whole academic year.</p>

<p>I love it here so much, that i want to stay longer. </p>

<p>I have lots of friends, a girlfriend and lots of opportunities here.</p>

<p>I have tried to talk to my econ counselor and the admissions office and they tell me that i have missed the deadline for transferring fall 2009. </p>

<p>This means that i am treated just as any other transfer even though im already studying here. </p>

<p>Is there anyway round this? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can stay here?</p>

<p>You could try seeing if there are any other fall/summer programs still open for application and try and stay at a university/some place nearby. By doing this you could apply to winter/spring programs and come back to UCLA in the winter/spring. I’m not sure how it works for EAP coming to UCLA, but I know for students that want to do winter/spring programs for next year the deadlines haven’t passed yet (at least for my country).</p>
