How did you go about requesting letters of rec from UCLA faculty? Considering it's our/my first quarter, I haven't really established a rapport with my professors; TA's, maybe...But I don't know if they'll be able to write me a STRONG letter of recommendation. Any thoughts?

So the EAP office got back to me and the counselor stated that for transfers, it would be okay to get the letters of rec from our professors from the cc. Good News! :-) Best of luck to those that are applying!

Out of sheer curiosity -

what is/are your major(s) and where are you going?

I want to study in (idyllic) Paris... of course, realistically, that means setting up myself for disappointment with the lack of its "cinematographic" idealism. Curse the films! and romance! and sweet liberation and Bohemian-esque ideals, etc etc.

I did EAP as a transfer.

You want to know a secret? The letters don't really mean that much. I got mine from a TA and language instructor. Meh. As long as you get the paperwork in on time, you pretty much go.

Enjoy!
