I just got into UCSD and Earl Warren college.
The housing application comes out soon.
From my understanding the residence halls are all suites at Warren.
I was wondering if anyone (especially current Warren students) had any advice which room I should request: triple, mini-double, or single. Are triple too cramped? Are the conducive to making friends? Do mini-doubles exist still? Do they have desks?
I’ve seen some Youtube videos of current students’ dorms at UCSD. I’m sure you could locate one for Warren. I’ve watched tours for Marshall and the people with a triple seemed happy. But I think the savings are relatively small. It costs $800 more for a double.

I’m in Revelle, but mini-doubles anywhere suck (I’ve seen Marshall’s and don’t know if they have any in Warren). That said, the Warren dorms and suites are generally fairly spacious–far from the rest of campus, but comfortable. Triples aren’t too bad, even in Revelle (they seem bigger in Muir and Warren). My roommates and I have almost enough space and get along fine, and the suite setup across UCSD means it’s fairly easy to make friends and meet people no matter what.
