There might just be a chance that we’ll get our decisions earlier this year. Dartmouth is releasing their online decisions on the eigth… and Penn might just do so around the same time… oooo…getting sooo nervous already!

Just seen the Columbia / Dartmouth boards myself - but there's no similar advancement from Harvard / Yale / Princeton / Brown. Surprising, generally the Ivies have common procedures.

I don't know about Princeton and Brown, but I know that Harvard and Yale did not notify applicants until the fifteenth last year- whereas Penn did not wait until the fifteenth... maybe they won't wait again this year?... I hope. :)

Then again, the common ivy agreement does not give a specific date as to when to notify applicants... it just says mid-december.

I really hope we get to know earlier too... The wait is killing me slooooowly!

Same here... I can barely get to sleep.

the wait may not kill me. the wait to see how long we have to wait? that may be bad for my already-fragile health

only 9 days left guys...agonizing but not toooo bad

Today we got past the single-digits mark in the number of days we have to wait!! :D

Last year's letter with the PIN number said December 10th at 3 PM and that's exactly when they heard, so I wouldn't put much hope in hearing earlier than Dec 14 at 7 PM at this point. I guess anything could happen, though.

anyone else refusing to wear penn clothing? anyone?

I want Penn clothing SO badly, but I'm refusing to buy any until I get decisions, which will hopefully be that I'm IN! Then I'll dress head to toe in Penn clothes.

guys 8 days 23 hours 52 minutes

where did u read or geth the idea that we will find out on the eight???

Too late for the clothing thing- ive been in penn gear since soph yr

People were saying this because that's when Columbia and Dartmouth are hearing this year, and some thought all the Ivys announce ED decisions together. I don't think that's true though.

Doubtful. Remember, UPenn's ED applicant pool increased by 21% this year. They have a lot more applications to go through than expected. I wouldn't actually be surprised if the date was moved BACK..

blasphemy!!!

I've read on this board that the difference in dates between this year's notification and last year's is because of Katrina. But I think it's more that they had a good idea pretty early on that there would be alot more apps this year. I think they have already built in enough extra time to have decisions done by the 14th.

I'm really hoping for Dec. 10th. If they come out then, I MAY NOT HAVE TO STUDY FOR FINALS!!! j/k I probably will anyway, knowing me ;) But still, so much less pressure..

remember that florida applicants could submit until nov 15 (around that time.. cuz of whilma) so thats why the decisions are later than last year
