<p>I just received word that I was accepted at one of the schools I applied to. I was thinking late January would be early, but before Christmas?!?! Has anyone heard of or had experience receiving a decision so early?? I'm still in shock.</p>
<p>whoa, congratulations. I guess it depends, some school does their decision on a rolling basis so if you apply early you'll get answer early too.</p>

<p>Thank you, both. The application deadline was December 10th, and I submitted my application in late October.</p>
<p>just so i wouldn't be caught in a position where i had acceptances months apart, i applied for one school about 4 months earlier than i needed to (rolling style), so that when i hear back from them, i expect to also hear back from the other school i'm applying to (which has an earlier deadline). </p>
<p>i did so because i'd hate to be in a situation where i had to make a decision on a school without knowing the offers of the other schools.</p>
<p>congrats! i've been a lurker on this forum for a while but i just wanted to congratulate since you are in my field of major and i've read posts/responses from you that were helpful. i missed the berkeley deadline because i decided to apply too late. =P</p>
<p>That happend to me 14<em>of</em>spades and I asked for extensions on the deadlines for acceptance/rejection of the offer and they were all OK with giving me them.</p>
