This is probably a pointless thread but is anyone else absolutely starting to panic, especially after you're about done submitting your apps b/c then all you can do is WAIT to hear back from schools. I know that you can always reapply next year, but my fear is that my application is probably the strongest it will be now.

Yeah, I manifest my panic by obsessively checking my email box.

belevitt when were your deadlines? i thought schools dont start considering your application until after the deadline. how fast do they read applications?...

my earliest deadline is stanford december 2nd..I'm done with my application and I just sent my SOP to a professor for proofreading.

i'm worrying whether the schools got all my materials.

I'm just about to fill all of those out... sigh! I've already got the sop and I just need to tweak it a little. I'm applying to Stanford, too. Good luck agc28!

I am not worried about anything. I either get in or I continue to work for another year. Either way is fine with me.

Two of my deadlines are a week from monday (Dec 8) the other six are a week later than that (Dec 15). There really is no possibility of getting an email this early. I don't have a rational reason for obsessing this early, but I am nonetheless.

It's gonna be a loooonnng wait. Schools for my program "say" that they will make decisions in March/April. Arg...

Not too long of a wait I think, most schools (biosciences) do their interviews in Jan/Feb/March and some send out invites at the end of Dec.

Arg, so I submitted my online applications after checking it meticulously. However, after everything was submitted, I realized that I had forgotten to underline a couple of section headings in the CV and the Greek symbols did not convert properly! (too late to make changes now)

I'm probably worrying excessively, but will Adcoms think I'm not a careful person if they see these little mistakes? :(

Guys, if you're still in undergrad, change your focus from those apps to your current senior projects! They will really help you keep your mind off grad schools and ask your advisor and friends to help you out in the process of keeping you focus on your current work. When I returned for the spring semester, my advisor basically said, "Okay, grad school stuff is out of the way and it's time for you to work on your thesis!" Her demands essentially made it almost impossible for me to think about grad school almost through the whole month of February...
