Early Action Chance

I know there are millions of these but I am about to submit my application for EA and would like to see if I stand a chance.

WGPA: 3.778 (Kinda bad, was 4+ Freshman year then went down)

ACT: 34 (My strong point, not sure if this will make a huge difference)
English: 35, Math: 33, Reading: 32, Science: 34, Writing: 9

ECs: Decent, no sports but I have other activities like Beta Club, Debate,Co-President of Young Libertarians, and commander of my JROTC unit to balance it out

School rigor rating: 7, one of the best in the state

APs: 8
Junior year:
AP US History (4)
AP Language (4)
AP Statistics (5)

Senior year:
AP Computer Science A
AP Government/Politics
AP Economics
AP Physics 2
AP Calculus BC

Biggest issue is that I was suspended for accidentally bringing a weapon to school Sophomore year but I confessed to it and was actually given less than the minimum punishment. I have no idea what impact this has but I plan to make sure to be as apologetic about it as possible.

My backups are UGA and Georgia State if I don't make it here.
Thanks in advance!

Is the fact you brought a weapon to school going to show up on your high school report? You need to know exactly what information is going to the schools. Then you need to explain it.

It only shows that I was at the Alternative School for 1 day as I was still technically enrolled at my high school. Otherwise nothing else will show up. I decided to just take the honest route to be safe and hopefully receive mercy.

It will be raised by your counselor in their report. I would contact an admission rep at Tech; explain your stupidity and why it will not happen again. I would address it in the additional info section. Tech will find out about it and being truthful now will go a long way in demonstrating you have gained new maturity.
