Early Action Chances??

When I look at the freshman profile I seem to fit perfectly into the middle 50 percent. Im wondering what my chances are of Early Action acceptance, and if I don't get accepted then, what my chances are that Ill be deferred rather than denied. I have already applied Early Action!

High School GPA- 3.84 weighted (UGA recalculation = 3.78)
SAT score- 1830 three score, 1240 two score (650 math, 590 reading, 590 writing)
ACT score- 25
AP courses- 8 total (passed two exams so far, have three exams to take this year)
Honors classes- 15 honors classes total
Standard class- only ones taken were first two years of language, my marketing academy classes, and required electives (all core either honors or AP)
Class rank- Top 25 percent
My sophomore year i struggled with my health, actually being hospitalized for a week or so and struggled with a stage of depression. This all led to drop in my grades and struggle to keep up. I received 1 full credit C and one half credit C that year. I love school and work extremely hard at it. my grades show reflect my work ethic and passion in how well I excelled once having time to get past my downfall. I have since received above 4.0 GPA per year from there on out. (not explained in my early action app but will be added if deferred)

I am in the National Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (math honor society), and National English Honor Society. I am a active member in 6 clubs at my school, i wanted to dedicate my time to few clubs that meant a lot to me. I have over 100 service hours. I work about 15 hours a week as a receptionist at my local studio. Come december I will be training to be a fitness instructor at the studio. I have danced all four years (5 hours a week), and was apart of my studio dance team my Sophomore year.

I cant tell if my chances are reach for Early or not and whether that means I will be denied instead of deferred! Soooo what are my chances????

low act score, low sat score, average # of ap’s and average GPA for early. I think you’re a definite reach for early and you’re likely to get deferred. Raise your ACT/SAT score and UGA should be a solid meet regular decision.

I’d have to agree with fin. Reach. You’re not competitive, but you might get in for regular. Good luck!

Last year’s average:
https://www.admissions.uga.edu/article/first-year-class-profile.html

So I talked with an admissions officer for UGA and they told me my GPA isn’t calculated the way I thought. they take away all my weighting for honors and AP classes and only give me .5 GPA bump to my AP grades. My GPA will be around a 3.32 for the Early Action decision process, obviously this wont get me in, but do you think i can at least get deferred? my SAT three composite went up to 1850 this past SAT test. All my other info listed is the same. Can you give me another prediciton on my chances. I understand Early Action is a complete reach for being accepted but can I at least be deferred? my GPA should go up to 3.5 UGA weighting with my new senior grades. Please let me know.
