Hey guys apparently I forgot to do my financial aid forms. Is it too late?

Son Accepted for mathematics. 3.86 weighted GPA. ACT 34. One of the top high schools in state. AP Scholar with Honors. 15k a year scholarship. Californian on water polo, swim team and surfer. Paid tutor at local tutoring center. Good letters of rec.

@PrayforUF you have to submit the CSS and Fafsa to get need based aid.
@Uncledrew it isn’t to late, the Fafsa form isn’t even available until Jan 1.
Both of you should look at your application status page again and look on the left side… You should see a financial aid letter link there.

Best wishes!

@ PrayforUF one of their website pages also list an “Achievement Scholarship - Northeastern University The Achievement Scholarship is open to new students at Northeastern University who are entering in the fall semester.”

@Uncledrew you have until Feb 15 for FAFSA. If you wanted a “preview” to see what you would get you could have submitted CSS by Dec 1 which is what I did.

I got accepted ($15k scholarship, College of Engineering)

ACT: 34
GPA: 4.1
4 APs (3 this year)
Few EC’s, but all were extremely well developed (VBall for 12 years, Costa Rica Service Immersion, etc…)

@Uncledrew I’d assume not. My dad hasn’t finished the non-custodial parent form yet for the CSS Profile, and they just asked me in my acceptance letter to make sure he sends that in.

@univin2015 @dsterlin I won’t be getting any aid from that my parents make a decent amount and I’m an only child

Accepted with 92.1 GPA (UW),
SAT: 2180
Pretty good Recs and ECs .
They are giving me around 18k per year in Scholarship which is pretty nice.

Sorry @PrayforUF, sounds like mom and dad need to pony up… But sounds like it will only be painful, but doable.

@dsterlin yeah I guess so. Idk how much CSS and fafsa will get me but I would need around a total of 10-15k in aid to be able to consider going I’ll apply for a lot of scholarships outside because I really want this school

Accepted to Honors program as a political science major. 15k per year and hoping to find more money from other scholarships online and through financial aid.
Hooks: I have a super unique background story and also I have done a lot relating to my major for EC’s (I went to washington D.C and met personally with many members of congress and senate in order to rally for immigration reform, as it really effects the city I live in in Arizona). I have also worked 20 hours a week while volunteering and being a member of my youth group’s board. I am just so happy and can’t wait to be a Husky!

How will you know if you have gotten into the honors college? Also has anyone got into the honors college specifically from the Dean of the College of Arts, Media & Design?
