If you look on your app status check, it says, “If applicable, any scholarship and/or Honors Program information will be released with your decision.” So that includes merit aid, and an approximated need based amount, which is what the CSS profile was for. That financial aid isn’t the guaranteed amount, but it should be pretty close to what you’ll get once you submit FAFSA.

We submit the FAFSA only if we get accepted right? All I sent in was the CSS profile.

Yeah, and you can’t submit FAFSA until February, I believe. The only thing you need to have submitted now is the CSS profile.

So has anyone heard anything about when we will hear?

I’ve been creeping on past threads from earlier years, and apparently this is when it generally comes out. However, since NEU has so many applicants, they send notifications at later times depending on the region you live in.

At the latest, you’ll know by the 31st… but expect to get it before Christmas. The perfect Christmas present.

And somebody make an NEU Class of 2019 Facebook page or something, for those who choose to attend. _

URGH I do not want to wait any longer.

I’ve seen talk of them releasing on the 12th this year.

i was looking at the required documents and it said i needed to send in my social security? i don’t believe i had to do this for any other school that I applied to… anyone know what I need to do?

Just email it to the admissions office. That’s what I did, and they added it to my application right away!

One. More. WEEK!
I’m deciding whether or not to check online or wait for the letter to come in. The letter(if accepted) is more satisfying to me. However, online decisions are instant! I might cave in and check the online status lol

I took my second SAT in November and did significantly better so I neeeeeeeeeed NEU to see those scores! However the system doesn’t have an updated date next to my SAT scores doc. What do I do? I emailed admissions on Tuesday but they haven’t gotten back to me.

You should probably call them and speak to a person that works in admissions directly; they can take a while to reply back to e-mails! However, I would think that a majority of the applications have already been reviewed…but you never know! Maybe they’ve already received your scores and just haven’t had the time to update the status?

Anyone else getting super anxious?

I’ve been getting more and more anxious as the day gets closer! I think I have a pretty good chance of getting in, but I’m still very worried that I won’t.

Is the 12/12 date confirmed?

12/13 - [Another Update for Early Decision I Applicants | NYU Admissions Blog](<a href=“MEET NYU - Home”>MEET NYU - Home)

^ Hey buddy, wrong thread.

I’m worried that I’ll get deferred. Or even if I do get in, there’s still the matter of being able to afford the tuition! I highly doubt I’ll qualify for for any financial aid, so my only hope is a merit scholarship!

So should I expect 12/12?

Last year the first response came in on 12/13 at 3:11pm. The Thursday before break.

If the same pattern as the last few years, decisions will begin Thursday 12/12 3pm (Mass)
and are released geographically. Northeast(Maine, NH and Ct) 5pm, NY 6pm …
