For those of you on the east coast who have/are applying EA to BC, would you be willing to let us know when you receive your decision letters. That way we can all calculate when decisions might be on their way across the states. It would be so helpful!! Does anyone know when to expect them (based on past history)?

I’d like to know as well!

Last year I think they were mailed on 12/14. In NJ we were getting them on the 17th. They posted the mailing date on the Facebook BC Prospective Student Page. They may have done that because some deferrals (or maybe all, I’m not sure) were emailed before the 12/14 date. We were figuring those emails were mistakenly sent early. Maybe they were trying a new process? It was confusing to say the least.

EA acceptance letter received last year (2012) on December 17th. Westchester County, NY. The greatest Christmas gift ever!

Thanks for that information…daughter is very anxious! So, current applicants be sure to post!!

I will post in this thread when I get mine because I live in northern NJ what I know is that they are usually sent around then but I heard if you get an email you are deferred to regular decision and if you don’t get an email it either means you are in or you are out. and Cavmom, do you happen to live in Emerson?

No, we live in CA, so will probably have to wait longer! Please do post when you hear something!!

If im deferred i will probably hear around friday of next week then monday or tuesday a real answer

Wow! That is so soon! Just a week away! We are in central NJ BC is my daughter’s first choice…fingers crossed!

My grades are pretty good and sat but hopefully my back story carries the weight i need

Whoa, with all this talent from New Jersey, how does a Utah girl like me stand a chance? (Although, I did attend the finest school in Millburn/Short Hills…until 2d grade)

retriever, did you end up going to BC? If so, how do you like it?

cavmom-
Actually I am mom of a freshman son at BC, and a daughter at Providence College (seem to be a lot of families with kids at each!) Can’t say enough about both schools. So many incredible opportunities - scholastic, service, great sports, school spirit, spirituality, great locations, beautiful campuses. Both schools filled with fun, friendly, fantastic kids! Best wishes to you!

retriever, great to hear your kids are happy with the schools they have chosen. Excited to see where my daughter gets in! Did either of your kids apply to Georgetown? My D is awaiting EA decisions to both. On pins and needles!

retriever-
Have a freshman at BC too! Had another daughter graduate from BC in 12’. My son has applied EA so fingers are crossed. Good luck to your daughter Cavmom!

Good luck to you too Timber!!

So does anyone know more on when. I’ve seen/heard that we could be getting a decision on Christmas(?)

There is a thread just below this with 100+ responses which is quite helpful

My son received his letter today. Accepted honors College.
