Tom, did you do the supplement?

Was there a supplement? I didn't think there was one. I applied using the Common App.

if you used the common app, you didn't need to submit a supplement...Tom did you apply to harpur?

That's what I thought and what's Harpur?

WOW.

tom, harpur is a school at binghamton...it's not specified on the common app, but if you chose a business major, nursing, or something really specific, then you may be a candidate for SOM or another school within Binghamton.

I think I applied to business school but it was so damn long ago I'm not positive. I still can't believe I got denied and it got even worse when I went into school and heard all these people who got accepted who are by far not as qualified as I am.

Just checked today....

Decision: Accepted. Congratulations!

SAT - 600CR 700M 650W

Tom, just because you might have higher numerical scores does not mean you are more qualified. Binghamton doesn't just look at numbers, as we can tell by the stats of people who got deferred vs. accepted. I mean there are people on here who got deferred with higher scores than me, but I got accepted.

They want to see a well-rounded student, and I guess something stuck out about my application as somebody on here mentioned once.

So don't feel so high and mighty because your numbers are higher. They really don't mean that much in my humble opinion.

Don't forget that your race also plays a role.

Does anyone know if you ever get rejected from early admission, or does every non-acceptance get deferred?

Binghamton both rejects and defers students from Early Action.

To Nickguh, I don't know if it means anything, but I'm Caucasian. So it's not like I got in because I played the minority card so to speak.

I haven't heard of any rejects from Bing EA, only a plethora of defferals. Does anybody know anybody who was?

p.s. I'm shocked to hear people with stats so much higher than mine got deferred. Definitely get in regular

ks1090, I feel the same way about people with higher scores than mine getting deferred. I'm still confuzzled (yes confuzzled) about it.

I just hope that those who really do want to go to Bing, and who aren't using it just as a safety, get in. I wish all the best of luck.
