Early Action : Purdue Class of 2015?

Hi there! I'm applying to Purdue (early action , 11/15) for their business program.
I have many extra curriculars and volunteer activities, as well as Student Gov. However, my SAT and GPA are a tad low.
GPA: Cumulative: 3.4, Weighted
SAT: 1600, but I just took the October one and I'm waiting for that score. I'm also taking the December SAT I again and the SAT 2's again in November. Those scores will definitely be higher!
ACT: 23, but I'm taking the ACT again in two weeks. My score is around a 27 now.

Can I get in? I'm an out of state student and I really want to go to Purdue!

I am not sure where you got your information but Purdue’s early action application deadline is October 15, not November 15 and thus you need to apply now and send test scores and transcripts immediately if you want to be considered EA. See [Purdue University - Important Dates](http://www.admissions.purdue.edu/Admissions_Criteria/Important_Dates.html) If you apply by Oct 15, you will get a decision on December 9. If you apply after October 15, you will fall into Purdue’s normal rolling admissions and it starts rolling out decisons December 9 so you could get a decison anytime thereafter and usually within four weeks of when your application file is complete. Nov 15 is actually the “final” (not EA) deadline if you want to qualify for scholarships or are applying for Nursing, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Prepharmacy, and Veterinary Technology.

Also be aware that SAT IIs are not used for admission.

Your GPA/test scores indicate that right now you are somewhat of a reach for Purdue.

The problem you have with the Dec SAT is that if you apply now or even in Nov a decision may be made on you before Purdue ever gets that test score since it follows rolling admissions. In essence, if you really want to use your December score, you would have to wait to apply until January or, if you apply earlier, at least not complete your application file by withholding any official test scores before the December scores come out, and thus you would miss the Nov 15 app deadline for scholarships.

If you designate Purdue to automatically receive your Oct ACT score as one of your free sends for the test, it will likely arrive in time to be considered for the EA decision.

Finally, the class you will be applying for is the one that would graduate from college in 2016 not 2015
