I’m applying early action for BFA MT at Emerson and when I was looking at dates, I saw that their last early action audition date is like December 7th or something. This date would be convenient because I could schedule my audition for Berklee on the 5th. However, Emerson notifies early action applicants Dec. 15th (I think?) so my question is, is auditioning only a week before they are supposed to send out an acceptance letter a bad idea? I know it seems stupid but sometimes picking when you audition can make a big difference. Thanks!

Just curious if anyone wants to share thoughts about how the EA auditions went. It was my D’s first college audition. She thought it went fine–though as the first one has nothing to compare it to. I thought the parent session was helpful. Its so nice to know that we’ll hear something next week.

My daughter had a pretty good experience as well. The evaluators were approachable and they seemed to go out of their way to keep everyone as relaxed as possible. I thought the parent info session also was very helpful and informative. Sounds like early action is kind of meaningless since they accept so few early.
