Subjective:

Essays: The personal statement was excelllent (about being both a rugby player and a dancer, and my femininity), the Why health career? one was cliched but well written and perhaps touching (I had applied to the International Health program), the activity essay was about Habitat for Humanity (cliched), but honest and funny

Teacher Recs: One was excellent (said I was one of the most talented biology students in 17 years of teaching) but impersonal, the other was excellent and very very personal (my best teacher friend, we're very close)

Counselor Rec: Probably very good, she's a teacher advisor for one of my major ECs as well

Hook (if any): probably not alot of people from Hong Kong applied to NHS, first generation, I turn 17 in January

*Other Factors: Speak Cantonese, French, English and have studied Mandarin past AP level, 9th grade was my first year at an English speaking school

*ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Not my first choice, but absolutely ecstactic that the "worst" I can do is Georgetown! And the International Health program is pretty much unique

I think we should start a new thread for the class of 2011 with a compilation of these stats postings so people applying next year and beyond won't have to sort through a 21 page thread! Anyone know the best way to do that?

Yea we should make like an official one.

lol there is one like a couple threads down idk why people started posting on here...

hmm i agree...the decisions are posted in so many weird places that i cant keep them all straight!
