Early Action vs Regular Decision

Should I believe the admissions staff that there is no statistical reason to apply early to Georgetown? It is my first choice but I feel as if I should apply to a different early action program at a school that is a close 2nd in my choices (one that does have a stats advantage) to try to increase my chances. Does that make sense or not? I am interested in the Nursing and Health Professions school.

Georgetown is one of the few schools where early action is more competitive than regular decision, since you’re going up against more qualified candidates in general. That being said, they don’t deny anyone in EA–only deferrals, so it doesn’t hurt to apply.
