Any word from early action candidates?

Per the web site, all letters will be mailed tomorrow, 12/15.

From earlier reports on this forum, it sounds like they don't necessarily have everything up to date online.

My dtr has been counting the days. USC is high on her list.

my mom called this week to make sure all my colleges had my apps, and usc said i will hear this week (applied before oct. 1) and that the website is having some isssues

I applied for early action, but didn't get anything in the mail today. Is there a way to check online?

From the USC Website Admissions page:

October 1, 2008: Early Answer Application Deadline

Turn your completed application in by this date and we will mail your decision letter on December 15th. This letter will indicate your acceptance or denial to the university, or it may indicate that the decision must be delayed until the March 16th Decision Day. It is not uncommon for a significant portion of our applicants to receive delay notification, so dont worry if your decision is delayed until March 16th. You will benefit from knowing we have all your required materials in hand in plenty of time to ensure full consideration of your application, and you will have time to send us updated credentials later if necessary. Students that apply by this early answer deadline do not receive an advantage in the decision process, just the assurance of an earlier response.

If it is indeed mailed on the 15th (today) as the site says, there is no way you would have it today. If it is mailed normal snail mail when you receive it will depend on the part of the country you are in and the normal mail lag time.

Good luck to all.

how agonizing to wait for snailmail..does that mean there's no online indication for the early action applicants?
good luck to all that are waiting..........

In-state and received acceptance today.

Huge Gamecock saying "YES!" on the back of the packet lol.

Thanks for posting dudeguy, it's good to have confirmation that the letters have gone out.

Congrats to you as well!

Acceptance down here in FL!

I like the Gamecock on the back, with the giant “YES!”

OOS and received the giant "YES" today

A few of my Ds friends in NC got their acceptances today.

I live in GA and I got my acceptance today

gymmom, where do you live?

We are in the Northeast and our mailbox is gathering cobwebs....

I submitted my application on 9/30 and my guidance councilor did not send in my info(transcript, recommendation, etc) until 10/14. I figured I missed the early action date, but then I heard that it was moved to 10/12 instead of 10/1. Someone told me that they may let it slide because my application was in on time and my transcript and such wasn't in all that late. If anyone knows if I'll be hearing soon or have to wait until March, please let me know. I'm from New Jersey by the way. Thank you and best of luck.

We are in Georgia, so pretty close

USC has gotten really strict about dates. They had too many people app and enroll last year. They had to turn people away who didn't submit the deposit on time. I have no idea if they will accept it or not, but good luck. Maybe you can call admissions and find out.

heres hoping the snailmail is moving up the east coast today for all those still waiting!!

I live in Washington State and just got my acceptance yesterday! I applied November. 4th, so I'm kinda surprised they got back to me so quickly.

When do you find out if you were accepted into the Honors College?
