Early Action

Their site says Feb 15th.

Tempers are flaring (okay -- MY temper is flaring), nothing in the mail today and a big snowstorm will stymy mail delivery tomorrow!

Aargh!

Got a deferral letter today--OOS from NJ

Nothing today in the midwest. I'm wondering if we misunderstood the admissions website? DD applied for Honors by the 11/15 deadline, but she did not apply by 10/1. From what I read, she should/could be notified this week.

My d applied before 10/1, and she has not yet heard.

heard in pennsylvainia today, got accepted =] you had to apply before october first to be notified this week or else you won't here until march

i got in EA yesterday (from pittsburgh). i didnt get everything turned in on time but still heard back

I applied to the honors college november 14th and I got my admissions decision yesterday. I was told, I was invited to a Macnair scholarship dinner and talked to admissions officials directly, that an Honors college, or MacNair applicant's regular admissions decision has to be processed first so that a decision can be made regarding their acceptance to the honors college. Therefore, as long as your daughter submitted her honors college and regular application by november 15th she should be hearing back very shortly. Also, she could hear about acceptance into the honors college any time between now and Feb 15th. I hope that helps.

Abbey

Thanks! That and any scholarship $$$ will make the decision.

Just an update from NJ, I heard back yesterday and got deferred.

deferred
Maryland

D's acceptance packet was in mail yesterday --- Ohio. Applied mid-late October to honors program.

Abbey,
Did your McNair invite come with your packet? Congrats and best of luck!

DD received acceptance letter today! Nothing about scholarships or Honors College though. Guess we'll have to wait and see on that.

D is in!!!!

We are very happy today!!!!!!

Congrats to all those accepted to the class of 2013 -- makes for an exciting holiday season doesn't it? For those deferred, keep the faith things could still go your way.

Sorry guys, I think there was confusion. I was not invited to McNair scholar's weekend yet. I hope to be. However, I was invited, at an earlier date, to a dinner in Atlanta for a select group of McNair applicants. It was there that I had the opportunity to talk directly with admissions officials regarding the admissions timeline for the scholarship and the Honors college and things of the sort. Sorry guys, no definitive word on McNair just yet.

Thanks for the clarification abbey. I wondered if we misunderstood what you said.

Got honors letter today. I live 10 minutes away, so it didn't have to travel too far.

i got my honor's letter too. I live in Aiken, so not too far either.

Oh thats great to know that they have started coming out!
