Can you apply early addmisson to more than 1 college?

you can apply to some schools that have early action, which is non binding along with one early decision school which is binding. Then there are dome schools that are EDII, which you can apply to if you do not get your first early decision. BUT Only apply early decision if you are sure it is your first choice.

i would really be careful with early decision (although from what i've read, it is actually being done away with at a lot of places) because i heard horror stories about people who got into places e.d. and then had a change of heart, even though it was their #1 originally...

I think, thought, most ED schools only allow you to apply to THEIR school and no other schools EA/ED unless, I think, it's rolling admissions.

But just to put something out there: Could I do Columbia ED and Georgetown EA? I'm like 99% sure you can't but what the other person put me in doubt.

Also, what other schools could I apply to along with Georgetown EA ( during that early time period)?

this is what i was referencing when i said i read e.d. was being done away with -- although i guess so far its only at some schoools

Is it too Late for Early Action and Early Decision?

I'm pretty sure that if you apply e.a. then you can apply to multiple places because its not binding -- but you can only apply to one place e.d. as far as i know...so i'm pretty sure you could do columbia e.d. and georgetown e.a. but dont hold me to that haha

okay i'll try to make this my last post on this thread but i was trying to find out some more info on this, and came across the original article referenced in the other -- Harvard to eliminate early admission

Okay, I've got it!! Yes!

SCEA Yale- can ONLY apply to Yale ( no ED/other EA) unless rolling admissions or a ED II, only when the admissions decision comes AFTER Jan 1st

ED Columbia- can apply to other EA institutions

EA- duh.

No. Georgetown EA does not permit you to apply ED anywhere, but you can apply to EA schools as much as you like. Same with Boston College.

Columbia ED - you can apply to other EA institutions, as long as the EA institution allows it. See above re Georgetown, BC; also restrictions for Yale and Stanford. (Stanford does, however, let you apply EA to other public institutions.)

Brown ED - you cannot apply to EA institutions.

As you can see, the devil is in the details. Always check the requirements of the various schools to which you want to apply, and make sure they all permit whatever it is that you want to do.
